Ereškigal (𒀭𒊩𒌆𒆠𒃲) is the Queen of the Underworld. In the Akkadian myth 'Nergal and Ereshkigal' she marries the god Nergal and elevates her new husband to ultimate sovereignty in the realm of the dead.
