Nanna is a Sumerian moon deity whose name, in the sense of the "moon," is sometimes used in Old Babylonian and Middle Babylonian astrological and mythological texts. See, for example, the "Šileiko Text" [Šileiko 1927[1], 126; Horowitz 2000[2], 204:17], as well as Enūma eliš, V 12.
