^dMUL.KI.GAL (𒀭𒀯𒆠𒃲)m 'The Star of he Great Earth,' is a Sumerian name for the goddess Ishtar as Venus, perhaps with reference to the goddess' connections with the Underworld as per the literary works Inanna's Descent to the Underworld and its Akkadian counterpart The Descent of Ishtar ( what to use as a source ETCSL??? and ????).
