mulḪU(?).NIM (𒀯𒄷𒉏) is an anicent Mesopotamian asterism.

Concordance, Etymology, History

Kurtik with Hilder, Hoffmann, Horowitz, Kim

[Gössmann[1] 186]; only in the predication:

  • [DIŠ mulMAN-ma ana mul]ḪU?.NIM TE ZAḪ3 KUR [...]
  • "[If the Strange Star (=Mars) approaches towards mul]ḪU.NIM: the country will fall [...]" [ACh Ištar[2], 24:23].

The reading of ACh Ištar, 24:23 (K8000 rev. 23) can now be amended to . . . mu]l / x dA-nim TE . . . (see the photo CDLI P397428).

The attempt to identify mulḪU.NIM with an unknown constellation from the zodiacal belt "between Sagittarius and Scorpius under the Ophiuchus" see. [Maneveau 1994[3]]. Could it be that mulḪU.NIM was a distortion of mul <d>A-nim, see (Kurtik a41) ANUM.

Historical Dictionaries

Kurtik (2022) Gössmann (1950)
[G. 186]; только в предсказании: [DIŠ mulMAN-ma ana mul]ḪU?.NIM TE ZAḪ3 KUR […] «[Если Странная звезда (=Марс) к mul]ḪU.NIM приблизилась: падение страны […]» [ACh Ištar, 24:23]. Example
