Hyades, Pleiades and the Moon (photograph by SMH)

Read mulGU3.AN.NA = is lê (see Horowitz 2014 61).

mulKA.AN.NA, The Heavenly Mouth, is a Mesopotamian name for the star cluster of the Hyades. It is well possible that the later asterism, the "Golden Gate of the Heavens" as a term for pathway between the Hyades and the Pleiades is a transformation of this old term.

Where is this term found??? KA2

Kurtik with Hilder, Hoffmann, Horowitz, Kim

Lit. "Heavenly Mouth"; the reading adopted in [G. 206] for the name of the constellation in the Astrolabe B menology (parallel to the Akkadian Is lê "Bull's Jaw"); an alternative reading and apparently the only correct one is mulGU3.AN.NA, cf.  [Horowitz 2014, 34:26].

Kurtik (2022, k03) Gössmann (1950)
[Horowitz 2014, 34:26].
