^mulGILIM is a Sumerian asterism name equated with ^mulAB.SÍN, 'The Furrow' in the Great Star List, in this context perhaps a name for Venus. The same sign with its most common sense of the verb 'parāku', 'to lie across,' occurs in the context of other planets and the Moon as well (CAD P 154). This sense of 'parāku' in the context of the 'The Furrow'-asterism most likely derives for the meaning ''to furrow or cross-plow a field' (CAD P 158).
