dGAL.A.RU.RU is an ancient Mesopotamian asterism.

Epithet of Venus [G. 63]; in the identity: dGAL.A.RU.RU = MIN(= diš8-tar2 MUL.<MEŠ>) "Great Aruru = Goddess of the stars" [CT 25, 31, K. 2109+:17]. Aruru, the ancient mother goddess responsible for the birth and fate of people, the name is present already in the early lists of the gods, see. [MNM I, 109; Tallqvist 1938, 256, 309; Weidner 1924-25, 78, Kol. 7:1].
