Wangshu

Wangshu is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Xihe in the constellation of Lyra. Suggested by the country of China Nanjing, it follows the name theme Names of celestial deities from ancient Chinese mythology.

Etymology and History

Wangshu (望舒) is the goddess who drives for the Moon and also represents the Moon in Chinese mythology.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
