Tarf

Tarf is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Arabic. It is the name of HIP40526 (β Cnc, HR 3249) in constellation Cnc.
Etymology and History
Arabic: الطرف, Al-Ṭarf (The eyes of the lion) is one of the traditional "Lunar Stations". It is composed of the 2 stars: ε Leo and ο Leo. However, the name has been in common use for β Cnc as it was published in the Yale Bright Star Catalogue.
