Syrma

Syrma is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Greek. It is the name of HIP69701 (ι Vir, HR 5338) in constellation Vir.
Etymology and History
From the Greek word σύρμα, "train of a dress", used by Ptolemy in the Almagest in describing this star. The word was applied as a star name in recent times.
