Pipitea

Pipitea is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Poerava in the constellation of Tucana. Suggested by the country of Cook Islands, it follows the name theme Terms associated with pearls in the Cook Islands Māori language.

Etymology and History

Pipitea is a small, white and gold pearl found in Penrhyn lagoon in the northern group of the Cook Islands.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
