Peitruss

Peitruss is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Lucilinburhuc in the constellation of Auriga. Suggested by the country of Luxembourg, it follows the name theme Names of historical sites and prominent geographic features in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

Etymology and History

Peitruss is derived from the name of the Luxembourg river Pétrusse, with the river's bend around Lucilinburhuc fortress alluding to the orbit of the planet around its star.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
