Koyopa'

Koyopa' is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Tojil in the constellation of Eridanus. Suggested by the country of Guatemala, it follows the name theme Names of deities and terms associated with storms from the Indigenous K'iche' (Quiché) Mayan tradition.

Etymology and History

Koyopa' is the word associated with lightning in K'iche' (Quiché) Mayan language.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
