Kalausi

Kalausi is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Dholuo. It is the name of HIP47202 (, HD 83443) in constellation Vel.

Etymology and History

The word Kalausi means a very strong whirling column of wind in the Dholuo language of Kenya.
