Hunor

Hunor is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Hungarian. It is the name of HIPIntegerPart[] (, HAT-P-2) in constellation Her.

Etymology and History

Hunor was a legendary ancestor of the Huns and the Hungarian nation, and brother of Magor.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2019/12/17.
