Baiduri

Baiduri is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Intan in the constellation of Fornax. Suggested by the country of Malaysia, it follows the name theme Names of gemstones associated with jewelry in Malay language (Bahasa Melayu).

Etymology and History

Baiduri means opal in Malay language (Bahasa Melayu), alluding to the mysterious beauty of the planet.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
