Aldhanab

Aldhanab is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Arabic. It is the name of HIP108085. (γ Gru, HR 8353) in constellation Gru.
Etymology and History
Al Dhanab from Arabic ال ذنب (adh-dhanab), The Tail, became common since its mentioning in Allen (1899). There it is attributed to a Persian astronomer but the whole constellation Grus is a constellation invented in the Early Modern Era.
