Agouto

Agouto is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Atakoraka in the constellation of Canis Major. Suggested by the country of Togo, it follows the name theme Names associated with the Atakoraka (Atakora) or Togo Mountains of Togo, which support spectacular sites for tourism and important resources.

Etymology and History

Agouto (Mount Agou) is the highest mountain in Togo and a treasured region of the Atakoraka.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
