Doris Vickers is a linguist-astronomer from Austria. She was head of the "Task Group Etymologies" (2018-2024) of the IAU Working Group Star Names to collate the cultural roots of the names officialized in the first triennium and public naming campaigns. She keeps being an associate member to consult the IAU-WGSN afterwards.
