Category:Super-Constellation
A super-constellation is an image (a constellation) in the sky that consists of several smaller constellations. For instance, in contemporary IAU-astronomy, Ophiuchus and Serpens together form a superconstellation, as they are considered two separate constellations but their images cannot be separated.
Likewise, the Chinese sky culture has some super-constellations that are sometimes even called "enclosures" as they enclose a huge variety of different constellations. For instance, the constellation of the Purple Palace consists of The East Wall and The West Wall (of the Palace), the Emperor's Canopy, the Royal Secretary, the Chief Judge, the Four Advisors, the asterism of The Emperor himself, his Maids-in-Waiting, the Royal Archives ... etc.
