Tianguan

Tianguan is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Chinese. It is the name of HIP 26451 (ζ Tau, HR 1910) in constellation Tau.

Etymology and History

Chinese single star asterism, a celestial pass along the ecliptic which opens and closes.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2017/06/30.
