Uúba is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Lenguistica U’wa language, also known as Tunebo.. It is the name of HIPIntegerPart[] (, LTT 9779) in constellation Scl.
Etymology and History
Uúba is the word for “stars”, “seeds”, and “eyes” in the Lenguistica U’wa language (Tunebo) of the U’wa Indigenous community of Colombia.
