Izar

Izar is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Arabic. It is the name of HIP72105 (ε Boo, HR 5506) in constellation Boo.
Etymology and History
Applied in recent times from the Arabic word izwar, "girdle" or "loin cloth", being a later version of the original term al-mi)zar used in the Arabic Almagest in describing this star.

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN on 2016/08/21.
