Riosar

Riosar is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Rosaliadecastro in the constellation of Ophiuchus. Suggested by the country of Spain, it follows the name theme Names and places associated with the writing and life of Galician and Spanish writer Rosalía de Castro (1837–1885).

Etymology and History

Rio Sar is the name of a river that was present in much of the literary work of the pioneering Spanish author Rosalía de Castro.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
