Isli

Isli is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Tislit in the constellation of Puppis. Suggested by the country of Morocco, it follows the name theme Names from Amazigh legends associated with Lakes Tisli and Isli of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Etymology and History

Isli is the name of a lake in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. It means the groom in the Amazigh language and it is associated with a heartbroken handsome boy in an ancient local legend.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
