Harriot  is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Copernicus  in the constellation of Cancer. Suggested by the country of Netherlands, it follows the name theme NEWC 2015

Etymology and History

Thomas Harriot (ca. 1560-1621) was an English astronomer, mathematician, ethnographer, and translator, who is attributed with the first drawing of the Moon through telescopic observations.
