Bambaruush

Bambaruush is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Mazalaai in the constellation of UrsaMajor. Suggested by the country of Mongolia, it follows the name theme Mongolian names associated with the endangered Gobi bear (Mazalaai in Mongolian) and its habitats in the Gobi desert region of Mongolia.

Etymology and History

Bambaruush is the Mongolian term for 'bear cub', the offspring of the endangered Mazaalai (Gobi bear) of the Gobi Desert.

IAU Working Group on Star Names

The name was adopted by the IAU WGSN in the 20xx NameExoWorlds Campaign (NEWC).
