mulKA.AN.NA, The Heavenly Mouth, is a Mesopotamian name for the star cluster of the Hyades. It is well possible that the later asterism, the "Golden Gate of the Heavens" as a term for pathway between the Hyades and the Pleiades is a transformation of this old term.
