Onasilos is an IAU name for an exoplanet. Its host star is Alasia in the constellation of Serpens. Suggested by the country of Cyprus, it follows the name theme Names associated with doctors from the ancient history of Cyprus (Alasia/Alashiya).
Etymology and History
Onasilos is the oldest historically recorded doctor in Cyprus, inscribed on the fifth century BC Idalion Tablet. Also known as the Onasilou Plate, it is considered as the oldest legal contract found in the world.
