         In Sumero-Akkadian mythology the <sup>d</sup>IMIN.BI were regarded as evil aggressive demons. According to one version, they were regarded as the sons of Enmesharra; according to another, sons of Ishkhara or Anu. Perhaps here we should be talking about two different “Sevens”. In the myth of Erra, the Seven gods are cruel warriors who exterminate people and animals [I will reveal to you, 98-99]. Such characterization corresponds to some astrological predictions associated with the Pleiades. In a number of spells, on the contrary, <sup>d</sup>IMIN.BI act as good deities. In Nineveh there was a temple dedicated to them (E<sub>2</sub> <sup>d</sup>7.BI) [MHM II, 425; Tallqvist 1938, 121, 442; LABS, 95 r. 18; Livingstone 1986, 101, 126:5, 172:6, 176:28-29; Reiner 1995, 86, note 355; CAD S, 230-231], in Babylon the sūq(E.SIR<sub>2</sub>) <sup>d</sup>sibitti(IMIN.BI) "Street of the Seven Gods" and 12 manzāz(KI.GUB) <sup>d</sup>sibitti(IMIN.BI) "12 'places' for (erecting statues of) the Seven Gods" [Gurney 1974, 47:88].          Famous Neo-Assyrian anthropomorphic images of the Seven Gods are known. On them we see bearded warriors in long robes and cylindrical hats, in their raised right hands, each of them holds a battle axe, on their left — a dagger; they also have a bow and quiver [Black-Green 1992, 162, 163 Fig. 134; Wiggermann 1992, 46]. However, these images were not considered to be the figure of the constellation MUL.MUL. On kudurru and seals of the Neo-Assyrian periods, the symbol of Pleiades served as seven dots or stars, located usually in the same row with the symbols of Sina, Shamash and Ishtar [Kurtik 1998, 37-38; Seidl 1968, 103]. II. Божество.

В шумеро-аккадской мифологии <sup>d</sup>IMIN.BI считались злыми агрессивными демонами. По одной версии, это сыновья Энмешарры, по другой ― Ишхары или Ану. Возможно, здесь речь должна идти о двух разных Семерках. В мифе об Эрре Семь богов — это жестокие воины, истребляющие людей и животных [Я открою тебе, 98–99]. Такой характеристике соответствуют некоторые астрологические предсказания, связанные с Плеядами. III. Символ.

Известны новоассирийские антропоморфные изображениях Семи богов. На них мы видим бородатых воинов в длинных одеяниях и цилиндрических шапках, в поднятой правой руке у каждого — боевой топор, в левой руке — кинжал; у них имеются также лук и колчан [Black–Green 1992, 162, 163 Fig. 134; Wiggermann 1992, 46]. Однако не эти изображения считались фигурой созвездия MUL.MUL. На кудурру и на печатях новоассирийского времени символом Плеяд служили семь точек или звезд, расположенные обычно в одном ряду с символами Сина, Шамаша и Иштар [Куртик 1998, 37–38; Seidl 1968, 103]. Селевкидское изображение Плеяд как 7 звезд см. [Weidner 1967, VAT 7851, Taf. 1–2; Куртик 2007, рис. 13]. IV. Отождествление.

= Pleiades; сомнений не вызывает, поскольку в астрономическом контексте dIMIN.BI всегда связывается с MUL.MUL. Число 7 предполагает выделение 7 звезд в Плеядах, как это имело место позднее в Греции.

Предсказания, связанные с <sup>d</sup>IMIN.BI, чаще неблагоприятные.
