Etymology and History

Name first appears in title to Wegner & Petford (1974) , name appears in titles to ~30 later publications in ADS, including Fernandez+ (1983) “The First Dictionary of the Nomenclature of Celestial Objects (solar system excluded)”

V=8.03 mag Star with very unusual abundances first noted by Przybylski (1961)

The star was named after Polish-Australian astronomer Antoni Przybylski who discovered the star (obituary)

Name is already in SIMBAD: Wikipedia.

In 2022, WGSN decided for the time being not to name stars after people because this might cause political issues and we currently don't have the capacity to study and judge the lifes of persons.
