Xihe is a modern star name adopted by the International Astronomical Union in the IAU-Catalog of Star Names (IAU-CSN). Its origin is Chinese. It is the name of HIP 91852 (HD 173416) in constellation Lyr.

Etymology and History

Xihe (羲和) is the goddess of the Sun in the Chinese mythology and also represents the earliest astronomers and developers of calendars in ancient China.
